A beautiful day, a bustling crowd, and one shared purpose: connecting the Congolese diaspora with our friends, neighbors, and allies. It was more than a table and flags—it was an opportunity to raise visibility, share stories, and build bridges.
Our Table, Our Story
Under the shade of a canopy, adorned with the vibrant blue, red, and yellow of the DRC flag, we welcomed passersby with open arms. Flyers, signup sheets, and QR codes offered visitors fast access to our programs, events, and volunteer opportunities. We heard from many people who stopped by to ask: “Who are you?” “What do you do?” Those conversations give purpose to our work.
Partnerships Matter
We were proud to share space with the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), a group rooted in social justice, peacebuilding, and community solidarity. Seeing the AFSC banner beside ours reminded us that our mission doesn’t live in isolation. We are stronger when we stand together.
